Founded in 2022, HistoricalData.net specializes in historical U.S. market data delivered as one-time-purchase CSV bundles. We focus on doing one thing well: complete, clean, well-documented stock and options history for quantitative analysis, backtesting and academic research — without the cost and complexity of an institutional data terminal.

Today our datasets cover U.S. stock daily and 1-minute bars back to November 2003 and end-of-day options back to May 2002, spanning more than 15,000 active and 50,000 delisted tickers. Stock data is refreshed weekly and options every trading day. We deliberately keep both unadjusted and split/dividend-adjusted prices in every file, retain full history for delisted companies, and document exactly how the data is built.

We believe trust in data should be earned by verification, not asserted. That is why the free samples are identical in structure to the paid files and we publish step-by-step data-quality checks you can run yourself before buying, alongside a transparent methodology covering sources, adjustments, validation and known limitations.

    Who uses HistoricalData

Our customers are individual quantitative traders, students and academic researchers, and small trading and fintech teams who need complete offline history for backtesting and modeling rather than a real-time feed. If you use our data in published research, please cite HistoricalData.net as the source with a link — we are always glad to hear how the data is being used.
